26th August 2005 Windsurfing: Schellinkhout, Iijsselmeer Wind Direction: W Wind Stength: F5 Surf / Sea State: choppy Air Temperature: 17C Sea Temperature: Weather: Sunny spells Max Speed: Distance Covered: Another day, another F5.... Had a day out at Edam and Vollendam, bought some more cheese ;-) and some gifts. After that went back down the Schellinkhout. It was blowing F5 again only more solid than the previous days and loads of people out again winsurfing and kiting. Rigged up the 6.4m again which was perfectly set up and ready to go. Jules took out the 5.0m again and had a good practice. My session was great perfectly powered up the whole time just blasting out trying to hop off the small waves rolling in then a gybe on the outside and blast back into the shallows. Gybing was getting better and I now have the measure of this spot. Really great session but the blisters are starting to make me suffer now.... Still some wind forecast for tomoz but might be a bit less than today. |
